All That Glitters

My work consists mainly of flameworked glass sculptures, composed of thin drawing–like lines. The glass sculptures exist on the brink of their ability to endure – between their large, almost monumental size and their weightless, bodiless mass –  they nearly break under their own burden.

Another body of work in the exhibit is composed of small objects. These works act as a sort of parasite, taking advantage of the presence of the glass sculptures for their own needs. They intervene in the relationship between spectator and sculptures, undermining it and jeopardising it.
